Colleen Hawk is an oil painter, watercolorist, and creatrix based in Maryland. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was educated in the arts from a young age. Colleen studied at both the Delaware College of Art and Design, as well as Delaware State University, where she earned her BFA in Fine Arts in 2014.
Colleen credits her creative aesthetic to spending her formative years as a young woman in rural southern Delaware, and to a deep love for the outdoors and travel. This wanderlust is translated in her work by way of passionate, idealized portrayals of her subjects, as well as fearless use of color and texture.
Currently, Colleen works primarily in her home studio outside of Baltimore, with her husband, Jon, and several pets.
